Corporate Vision

We aim to provide secure and fun gaming solutions to encourage player retention and enable rapid and sustainable growth. It's a formula that works, with 100% growth in profits each month in the first half of 2006, plus sustained above average player registration and retention throughout the our first year of operation.

GPL is about building community and to this end we sponsor a team to attend live games, run a busy user forum, and organise freerolls and syndicate games for our players.

Over the coming months the management team will be considering the next push forward, and whether this will involve working within existing resources or seeking third-party investment to take the company to a new level.

Management Team

Suzanne Hawker - Director

Suzanne developed management and people skills working in the private sector and now oversees score updates and strategy decisions for GPL. Suzanne adds "Working for the GPL is a constant challenge but the player growth we have seen over the last year has made it incredibly rewarding".

Colin Hawker - Marketing Director

Colin has been playing poker for a number of years, and recently has made 5 major finals and a credible 10th places at the inaugural World Speed Poker Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. Colin is probably better known online, where for years on various sites his nickname has been Kingcole. With his finger always on the pulse of the poker scene, Colin develops promotions with our partner poker rooms and answers player queries on the forum. "Working for GPL gives me the opportunity to develop ideas with people at the highest level of the industry," says Colin, "and allows me to explore multiple marketing avenues to benefit our portfolio of sites."

Mike Blow - Technical Director

Mike has worked in computer programming for over 10 years and is responsible for the unique look and feel of all the GPL sites. He has a Master's degree in artificial intelligence and has lots of experience in user interaction design. Mike says: "After completing my Masters I was looking for a small, high-potential company to get involved with, and the GPL with its aggressive expansion plans and constant stream of fresh ideas is perfect."

Ed Giddins

As well as playing test cricket for England, Ed writes poker articles, has commentated on various poker channels and his own record at the poker table is impressive. Over the past 2 years, Ed has made the final table in no less than 15 major ranking tournaments and is a familiar, friendly face on the circuit. We are delighted to have him on the team.

Aaron Jones

Aaron 'JonesyFish' Jones won the 2006 GPL annual league with a sustained series of impressive results including two monthly victories. He will join Ed and Colin at several prestigious live events in the first quarter of 2007.
